This is one of the most famous temples dedicated to snake God in Kerala. Nagaraja and Nagayakshi are in idol forms in a big house surrounded by trees and bushes. It is a house owned privately. The poojas in the Nagaraja temple in Nagarcoil in Tamilnadu is followed based on the Tantrik principles prescribed by the managing family of this temple. Poojas may be performed here for relief from Naga doshas. The expenses would be in the range of Rs. 6, 000 to Rs. 10, 000. Oil Prasad is offered at the end. Besides Naga pooja, worship of Bhagavati and Badrakali is also practised.

Meaning -According to this sloka, the entire world doesn't recognize the eternal God beyond them, because they are consumed by the elements of satva, rajas and tamas (good, obssessive and dark).

Meaning -According to this sloka, the heavenly maya of God is very complicated, but those who worship God will be able to overcome it.
