The Tiruppaleeswarar Temple is located in Tiruppalaivanam and is dedicated to God Tiruppaleeswarar. The main deity at this temple is Thirupaleeswarar and His consort is known as Lokambikai Amman. The Sthala Vruksham is Palai. The Theertham is called Amirtha Pushkarani. This temple has been built by Rajendra Chola. When the milk ocean was churned, nectar came up and it was taken by the Devas. It is believed that anything that we have should be offered to God first, so they made a Linga from the nectar and they worshipped the Linga here. The Amrita Linga here is worshipped with milk, rose water, curd and coconut water.
