The Surya Sadashiva Temple is situated in the Nada Village of the Dakshina Kannada district in Karnataka. This temple lies 4 kms away from Ujire town and 12 kms from Belthangady taluk. The Surya Sadashiva Temple is dedicated to the deity Surya Sadashiva Rudra Devaru. This is another name for Lord Shiva. The temple is built in traditional coastal architecture. The priests performing the rituals here belong to the Madhwa community. The Madhwa community is a sub caste of Brahmins who are better known as Vaishnavites.
