The Nilkantheshwar temple situated about 70 yards southeast of the Umamaheshwar temple, is crumbling and needs to be attended to before its condition gets worse. A porch dome and a spire crown this east-facing temple. It is believed that the linga dates back to the time of King Janaka, Lord Rama's father. Lakshmanshankar, Naro Shankar Raja Bahadur of Malegaon, built this temple in Saka 1669 (1747). The rocks on which the temple stands are surrounded by water at the time of floods.
