Overview
This sanctuary is located in Thodupuzha at Idukki District. The managing god is Bhadrakali. It is a Shilakannadi establishment, coordinating towards west. Three poojas are performed in a day submitting to Kaviyadu thanthra. Sub-gods are Shiva and Ganapathi.
About the Temple
The sanctuary is 460 years of age and is, not at all like the Annamalai Temple, a revamped structure.
Legend and Stories
History says that Vadakkumkoor King had implored and done long repentance and conveyed Kodungaloor Devi to this place. There are several maxims with respect to this sanctuary about how the Devi resulted in the present sanctuary.
