The Hindu Almanac considers three and half days as exceptionally favorable. They are: Gudipadwa - Hindu New Year, Dushhera, Diwali and Akshaytritiya. Similarly abodes of Goddesses in Maharashtra are well known. Tuljapur where Tulja Bhawani abides, Kolhapur, the abode of Ambabhavani, and Mahur where Kulaswamini stays. Saptashringa Garh where Goddess Bhagawati abides is half as essential as any of the prior said spots of Goddesses in Maharashtra. Saptashringa implies the mountain having seven tops. It is around 55 kilometers far from Nashik. Nanduri town is arranged at the foot of the Saptashringa Garh. The street to the temple is zig - zag and trips around 11 kilometers till it achieves the top. Before the temple there stands Markandeya Rishi's (savvy) slope. The Saptashringa Garh is brimming with an assortment of trees having restorative worth. As per the story in the epic Ramayana, Hanuman conveyed the home grown drug for injured Laxmana from this slope. There are around 108 water supplies on the slope. They are called as Kundas.
