Sri Varadharaja Perumal temple and Sri Ammayappar temple were once repressed under the sand and have been unearthed and repaired. This is an ancient 12th century temple, due to the sand storms this temple was covered entirely and was unearthed later and is in good shape now. This temple was the family deity of Sambuvarayar kings. The amman in this temple is known as Aparnambigai and the height of the deity is around 5.5 feet high.
