Sri Varadaraja Perumal temple of God Vishnu is situated in Injimedu town of Tiruvannamalai locale in Tamil Nadu, India. The temple is around 1000 - 2000 years of age and is arranged on the banks of Cheyyar/Bahunadhi stream. The temple of Sri Varadaraja Perumal fits in with Sri Ahobila Mutt. The temple is assembled according to the wish of Srimad Azagiya Singar, the 45th pontiff of the mutt, who loved Sri Varadaraja. Injimedu is additionally called as Narasimhapuram. It is said that in old times it was called Yagnamedu meaning Yagnavedhikai in light of the fact that different yagnas were performed for God Vishnu in this town. Over a timeframe it came to be called as Injimedu. Injimedu is 24 kilometers from Vandavasi and 140 km from Chennai.
