- Tell us about this temple
Sri Vairavimada Kaliamman Temple has been in presence for a century making it one of the eldest temples in Singapore. Initially raised at Killiney Street, the temple was migrated two progressively times before it was at last moved to Toa Payoh. The definitive temple structure at Killiney Street was in the way of a proposed route line which was to run from Tank Way to the Highway in Forests. Thusly, the nearby civil route powers arranged with the temples trustees and purchased over the temples territory with the end goal of developing the new track lines. Trustees of the temple then raised another structure on empty arrive at Plantation Street. Lamentably, the Track powers at the end of the day gained land possessed by the temple and it must be migrated for the second time. In 1921, another parcel at 21 Somerset Street (simply before the Telecoms building) was obtained for building the temple. The temple structure at this area was developed by the then Mohammedan and Hindu Enrichments Board in 1933. A sancification service was held on sixth December 1933 taking after its finish.
