Sri Kabbalamma temple is located in the Kabbal village in the Kanakapura taluk of Ramanagara district. The temple is believed to be the only shrine for nearly 28 villages in the surrounding region. According to people nearby, the Goddess is very powerful and is believed to fulfill all her devotees wishes. The Kabbal village is also home to the fort of Kabbal. This fort is built on a monolithic rock 250 m high with steep surfaces on three sides and less steep surfaces on the fourth side.
