Situated in the hills, south east of the Bhose village, the Dandoba Mahadev temple is a remarkable, east-facing cave temple. The Patvardhans had cleared a track for their elephants (known as the elephant path) and this path provides an easy ascent to the temple from the Bhose village. Light fills the temple through a hole in a rock above and the image chamber is artificially made. According to an inscription at the temple, King Sringan of Kausalyapur was connected to this temple.
