Shri Laxminarasimha Temple, dedicated to Lord Vishnu, is located at Maroor in Dakshina Kannada District. The presiding deity, Lord Laxminarasimha wears a silver jacket. The temple dates back to 400 years. Regular and special poojas are offered here during the months of Chaitra (March-April), Vaishakh (April-May) and Aashaadh (June-July). Maroor is situated a few kilometers from Karkala on the Moodabidri - Venur Road.
