Legend/Story
Serpent Vasuki utilized as the rope to stir the milk sea spit venom not able to hold up under the agony. All benevolent Lord Shiva to ensure every one of the creatures and the Devas devoured the toxin and kept all cataclysms that would have happened because of the poison's spread gas. Devas got the nectar cost. Vasuki felt regretful that it had brought on Lord Shiva to eat up its toxic substance. She came to earth and performed retribution on Lord. Ruler allowed darshan to Vasuki and paid rich tributes for its penance. As asked for by the snake, He consented to stay in this spot as Shiva Linga. This Linga had vanished in course of time. Amid his journey, Arjuna stayed here for some time looking for water to extinguish his thirst. An old man came to him and gave a stick encouraging him to strike on the ground for water. Arjuna gave his sword to the old man and got water. When he turned, the old man was not there. He took after the discovered a sparkling and brilliant ant colony dwelling place with his sword with a Shivalinga. Master showed up before him and unveiled that the old man was however Himself. Significance
