Overview : Swayambhunathar Temple is the temple of God Shiva located at Peralam Town Panchayat. It is said that Sage Peralar has worshipped God Shiva here. This is an enormous antiquated sanctuary is being kept up by Dharumapuram Aadhinam. There are small shrines for different deities namely Goddess Bhavani, God Vinayagar, God Murugan, God Shani, God Surya, God Chandra, Goddess Durga, God Bhairava and God Guru.
