One of the ancient temples in Lucknow, Kali mandi in Chowk, Lucknow is said to be constructed by Aadi Shankaracharya around 2, 000 years ago. It is also claimed to be the only temple in India where Lord Vishnu and Kali statues are placed together. During Navratri a large number of devotees throng to the temple and offer Puja. This temple is of Lakshmi and Narayan. This is probably the most important temple of Lucknow. The main temple is surrounded by many other temples.
