It is believed that Raja Haracandra Gond built this Saivite temple. However, since there was no Gond king named so, it is believed that Hir Sah was the one who built this temple, although it is likely that Raja Haracandra Gond, a Killedar of Wairagad could have built this temple. The temple has a large tank in its northwest direction, however both the temple and the tank have been neglected.
