Overview
Bhatkal otherwise called "Batecala" in some Portuguese recorded writings is a port town in Uttara Kannada District of South Indian condition of Karnataka. The Kethapayya Narayan Temple is well known for its design, figure and etching. The dividers are adorned with carvings delineating stories from Ramayana, Rama Pattabhisheka, Putra Kameshti, Vanavasa and different sagas.
