- Tell us about this temple
Built about 300 years ago, the Mahadev temple is surrounded by protective walls. Four solid pillars support the spacious sabhamandap and form arches in between. A stone idol of a tortoise faces the ling and is placed in the center of the sabhamandap. A sikhar, with a 4 ft high gold plated spire and with figure-filled niches, crowns the temple. The spire can be seen from any point in the village.
