Overview
ARAYUR is a small Village in Neyyattinkara Taluk in Trivandrum District. Arayur Major Sree Mahadevar Temple is one of the major worship places in Arayur. It is a Hindu Shiva temple. Arayur Shiva is fondly called Arayurappan. The temple comes under the control of Travancore Devaswom Board. The historic Mahadevar temple is centuries old. One can also find Ganesh, Durga, Murugan , Nandikesn, Lord Ayyappa , Bhutrtn, Nagaraja , and Yakshiamma in the temple.
