Shivakoti Mahadev Temple, located near Thriveni is situated on the banks of river Yamuna, which is directly opposite to the Allahabad Fort. Popularly known as Someswar Mahadev Temple, the temple houses the deity Someswar Mahadev, which is the ‘Rudra Roop’ of Lord Shankar. In addition, the deity is also known by the name 'Ekadaksh Rudra', which implies that Shankar is one of the forms of Rudra. The best time to visit this temple is on Mondays.
