A fine, antique, stone temple dedicated to Koteshwara Mahadev stands on the banks of the river Wardha. It is believed that the Wardha river flowed from the mouth of the Varaha (Vishnu’s boar incarnation) at Sage Vasishtha’s request. It is also believed that Sage Vasistha preformed a sacrifice at this place and then built this temple.
