Overview
Sri Nangattiri Bhagavathi temple is one of the oldest Devi temples in Valluvanadu. It is believed that the temple is thousands of years old. According to legend, the creation of this temple is related to holy idol of Vanadurga founded by Parashurama, as defined in the Puranas of Dasavathara. Many people visit the Nangattiri Bhagavathi. The Goddess is kind, helpful and fulfils all desires. It is one of the 108 Durga temples founded by Parashurama. The idol of Bhagavathi is more than 3 inches high.
