About the Temple

The spot is named after the royal residence of Pandya lord fitting in with the Chandra tradition – Raja-King, Pathi-Place. The temple was demolished because of the anger of surges. With the strides taken by Shiva aficionados, the new temple was constructed. This is the spot where Ketu was devoted to Lord Shiva – Kailasanathar, henceforth lauded as Kethu Parihara Sthala. The last bloom touched the stream's banks in Rajapathy. Sage was devoted Lord Shiva here and understood his wish. About the Deity

Lord Shiva is as Kailasanathar Shiv Ling in this temple. The Temple has a somewhat greater Shiva Linga named as Kailasanathar. There are four wheel figures on all sides of the Linga.

Legend and Stories

Rare Facts

This is the spot where Ketu adored Lord Shiva – Kailasanathar, subsequently adulated as Kethu Parihara Sthala. It is said that Ragu rules 7 years in a man's life. It is prompted that the individual under this period worship Lord in this temple amid this period.
