About the Temple

The spot is named after the royal residence of Pandya lord fitting in with the Chandra tradition – Raja-King, Pathi-Place. The temple was demolished because of the anger of surges. With the strides taken by Shiva aficionados, the new temple was constructed. This is the spot where Ketu was devoted to Lord Shiva – Kailasanathar, henceforth lauded as Kethu Parihara Sthala. The primary puja for the sanctification of Rajapathi Kailasanathar temple started on the day when the Raja Gopuram of the Kalahasthi temple was harmed. Subsequently, this spot and temple is viewed as Then Kalahasti – Kalahasthi of South. This temple is adulated equivalent in notoriety to the Kethu Sthala in Keel Perum Pallam temple in Nagapattinam locale. This devotion would assist him with understanding his wish, said sage Agasthya. Sage Romasa took after his Guru Agasthya's recommendation fastidiously. The last bloom touched the stream's banks in Rajapathy. Sage was devoted Lord Shiva here and understood his wish. Lord Shiva is as Kailasanathar Shiv Ling in this temple. The Temple has a somewhat greater Shiva Linga named as Kailasanathar. There are four wheel figures on all sides of the Linga.

Sage Romasa, the devotee of Sage Agasthya looked for proposal from his Guru for achieving aggregate salvation finishing the cycle of births and passings. The Guru exhorted the devotee to place 9 blossoms in the Tambirabarani River made by him and worship Lord Shiva at every spot a bloom touched the bank. This devotion would assist him with understanding his wish, said sage Agasthya. Sage Romasa took after his Guru Agasthya's recommendation carefully. The last blossom touched the waterway's banks in Rajapathy. Sage venerated Lord Shiva here and understood his wish.


Rare Facts


This is the spot where Ketu adored Lord Shiva – Kailasanathar, subsequently adulated as Kethu Parihara Sthala. It is said that Ragu rules 7 years in a man's life. It is prompted that the individual under this period worship Lord in this temple amid this period.


Significance


Devotees pray here for good ranch yields, wellbeing, kid bon, strength of cows, openings for work and advancement in exchange and offer different homestead produces as their request to Lord responsibility to Lord and Mother.
