Thirumanjanam is a special, personal, abbreviated puja done to Thayar to invoke individual guidance and blessings for marriage and child birth. The Pooja is done for 9 days by the respective bride, the temple priest gives the bride with 9 kattam, and 9 coins with which ladies are supposed to do the pooja. At the end of the 9th day they are supposed to put the coin in the Hundi and donate Bettle leaves, flowers and manjal to 9 ladies.
