Arulmigu Balasubramanya Swamy Temple is located in Teynampet, Chennai, Tamil Nadu. This Temple is Approximately 500 years old. In south Chennai this Temple is very famous & important among people. At present this Temple is called as Balasubramaniya swamy Temple. But originally earlier this Temple was called as Ramalingeswarar Temple ( Lord Shiva ) by people. Approximately 50 years before Lord Murugan with Valli, Deivanai " Sannathi " & a huge " Raja Kopuram " was built. After that people used to call as " Sri Balasubramaniya Swamy & Alaiamman Thirukovil " by people.
