The Adikesa Vara Perumal Temple is located in Bhavani and is dedicated to God Adi Kesava. The prime deity Adi Kesava is seen in the standing posture along with his consorts Sridevi and Bhoodevi in the sanctum sanctorum. To the right of the God's shrine is Mother Soundaravalli and the shrine of God Narasimha in between. The front mandap is graced by God Santhanagopal's presence with his consorts Mothers Rukmini and Satyabhama. There is also a cow behind this God with two heads on both sides. Legend has it that Kubera, the God of wealth came down to Earth trying to protect himself from the anger of Shukra, the Guru of demons. While Kubera passed through this place he was astonished to find a lion, tiger, elephant, deer, cow, snake and a rat eating their food calmly without any hostility in spite of having contradictory qualities. He also saw the Sages, Devas and Gandharvas offering penance without hurting the animals. This holy place made him penance to both God Shiva and God Vishnu. They offered their darshan together and upon his request they stayed in this place to bless the devotees. God Adi Kesava graces from the sanctum sanctorum with His consorts Sridevi and Bhoodevi in a standing form. God Santhanagopala graces in the front mandap with Mothers Rukmini and Satybhama. Mother Soundaravalli graces from a shrine right of the God. In between is the shrine for Lakshmi Narasimha in a merciful form.
