The Adimoolanatha Perumal Temple is located in Vadapalani, in Chennai, India, and is dedicated to God Vishnu as Adimoolanatha Perumal. A small and old temple, it is located opposite the Vadapalani Murugan temple seems to be comparatively older. However, not much is known about its history of the shrine. The temple doesn't have many praharas. The presiding deity Vishnu is seen with Sri Devi and Bhoo Devi. The deity is seen to be in a sitting posture. Garuda is found in a small shrine facing him. The utsav idols of Adimoolanatha Perumal with his two consorts along with Andal are found in the main shrine. Adi Lakshmi, the main goddess of the temple, is found in a separate shrine in the corridor. The idol of Adi Lakshmi looks very attractive.
