The Aiyappan Temple is located in Saasthanagar and is dedicated to God Aiyappa. The devotees are greeted by a 42 feet tall flag pillar and the Balipeeta (a lotus shaped seat) at the entrance. The moolavar is God Aiyappa and is seen greeting the devotees with a smile. The Navagraha Shrine is on the left. God Vinayaka is seen to his right. There is also Dyana Mandapa - Prayer Hall - with facilities for devotees to prepare their pilgrimage to Sabarimala with their Irumudi. The speciality in the temple is the pooja performed to Sani Bhagwan for relief from sani dosham. The tickets for performing the Ghee Abishek in Sabarimala is issued in this temple. A special and an effective pooja for relief from Sani doshas is performed only in this Sasthanagar Aiyappan temple. The 42 feet tall flag pillar and the Balipeeta (a lotus shaped seat) welcome the devotee at the entrance. The Navagraha Shrine (shrine for the 9 planets) is on the left. God Aiyappa, the divine son of Hari-Hara, graces as a child in the temple as a smiling child. His beloved brother God Vinayaka is to his right. There are also Dyana Mandapa-Prayer Hall-with facilities for devotees to prepare their pilgrimage to Sabarimala with their Irumudies – a package with items as ghee filled coconuts etc. to be offered to the God at Sabarimala.
