Overview
Sri Ananthapadbhanaba Swamy temple is located in Hebri, Karkala taluk of the Udipi district. Hebri is a small village which is located on the foothills of Western Ghats. Sri Anantha Padmanabha Temple situated on the main road and is also the main attraction of the place. Anantha Padmanabha Swamy is the presiding deity of this Temple . The temple also houses separate Sanctums to other gods like Kshethrapala, Khadga Ravana and Dhoomavathi.
The vigraha of Lord Anantha Padmanabha is three feet high and is brilliantly sculptured in black granite. The idol is in standing posture. According to Dr Gururaj Bhat, who had done a extensive research on the idol of this deity, recognized the deity as Lord Srinivasa. But existing lithographs showing the generous donations made by kings towards the temple have clearly stated the deity as Sri Anantha Devaru or Sri Anantha Padmanabha.
During the 18th century, a Brahmin family was brought to Hebri for performing poojas and other sacred rituals for the deity. The administration of the temple is being passed over generations, among the members of Beedina Ballala family of Hebri.

The Temple festival here is celebrated every year for five days beginning from Kumbha Sankramana.
