Overview
Arulmigu Srinivasaga Perumal Temple (also known as Sri Namperumal Temple) is a Hindu shrine located at Solaigavundanpatti village, in the Virudhunagar District of Tamil Nadu State, India.
About The Temple
The presiding deity of this shrine is Sri Srinivasa Perumal who graces here along with his divine consorts Sridevi and Bhoodevi Thayaars. The Lord appears in the standing posture and is seen facing the direction east. Lord Srinivasa here is believed to relieve his devotees from Navagraha doshas (adversities causes by bad positioning of planetary gods), since this place considered as a sacred place where all the planetary gods are seen in their respective squares. Devotees thus undertake to perform archana to Lord Srinivasa here seeking his divine blessings. Even those who aren’t aware of their respective birth star or Rasi worship the Lord here to get relieved from any existing adversities from unfavourable positioning of planets in their horoscopes.
Located merely at a distance of 8kms from Virudhunagar town, this temple draws a number of devotees from the nearby districts. Since Lord Srinivasa is known for his benevolence and mercy, he is also fondly called Nam (our) Perumal.
Festivals
The deity is taken on procession during the 9 holy days of Navarathri, which usually falls in between the months of mid September-October. The Tamil Varusha porappu which is celebrated on the first day of the Chithirai month (April-May), Srirama Navami, Gokhulastami and Tirukarthikai are some of the revered festivals celebrated here. The monthly Ekadasi (11th day from both the new moon and full moon day), all the days in the tamil month of Margazhi ( November-December) also finds significance in the temple.

The Lord here is believed to shower his grace abundantly on those who worship him wholeheartedly. Many devotees visit the temple with the belief that all the hindrances related to marriage, employment, career growth, etc are resolved with the deity’s blessings. Further, people suffering from Navagraha doshas are also believed to get benefitted by offering prayer to Nam Perumal here.
