Overview
Bhairavi Temple is a hill shrine dedicated to Goddess Kali, situated at a distance of 3 Kms from the town of Malkangiri. People coming from Jeypore and leaving Malkangiri usually pray this Goddess for ensuring their safe journey. Large number of devotees visits this temple every day. The deity is believed to have been worshiped by the King of Malkangiri. The remnants of his castles are still found on the Raja Rani Hill, infront of the Bhairavi temple.
Goi Hills is located near Malkangiri which has a famous Shiva Linga. Hundreds of devotees throng the hill temple during the festival of Maha Shivaratri. Locals have taken the efforts for paving a secured passage on the hills, for the safety of the pilgrims who come to worship Lord Shiva. The height of the Shiva Linga is said to be around 6 feet and has been observed to be rising up gradually. The famous Tarini temple is situated at a distance of 2 Kms from Malkangiri town, on the way to Jeypore.

The period between the months of November to February is considered ideal for visiting this temple.

The nearest railways station is located Jeypore. Cab and Bus services are available from Jeypore.

On reaching Malkangiri, four wheel vehicles such as taxis & Jeeps are available to reach the temple, which is located on top of the hill. Visitors who visit by air are suggested to connect Visakhapatnam Airport to reach Malkangiri. Visakhapatnam is 270 Kms away from Malkangiri by road.
