Overview
Dagdu Halwai Datta Mandir is a renowned temple of located in the Budhwar Peth locality of the city Pune. The place is very near to the famous Laxmi Road and the Mahata Phule market, popularly known as Mandai.
The primary deity of this temple is Lord Dhattatreya who is believed to fulfill the wishes of his devotees. People throng this temple in huge numbers to worship the God seeking to grant employment to the unemployed, children to childless couples, development of business, Pearce of mind, etc. It is said that a 100 years ago, a religious women named Shrimathi Laxmibai Dagdu Halwai from Pune, installed a Datta Temple on the advice of her Guru Shri Madhavnath of Indore, who was staunch worshipper of Lord Gurudatta.
About the Temple
Dagdu Halwai Datta Mandir is on of the oldest temples around Pune. The unique feature of this temple is that it faces the North. According to Vastushastra, the direction North is considered to be the direction of 'Kubera', the God of wealth who is facing the north.
Poojas
Several special poojas are performed on Thursdays, which attract a great number of people. Pujas are performed twice daily.

There are also railway stations located at Pune, Nashik, Nagpur, Kolhapur, Aurangabad and Amravati that have excellent railway connectivity. Taxis and buses are available outside these stations to reach the desired destination.

The temple is open from early morning and the devotees visit the temple for worship even till 10.00 to 11.00 pm.
