Overview
Yethgaon is a village situated in Kadegaon taluk in Sangli district, Maharashtra state, west-central India. It is about 14 kms north-west of Vita (a taluk place of Khanapur taluk). More than 5000 people are living in Yethgaon. About 200 hectares of artificial forest is developed in Yethgaon. It is spread along the boundary of Yethgaon.
About the Temple
God Shree Darmaraj temple is a favourite place in Yethgaon and many people from adjacent villages come here for worship on a regular basis. The main occupation of residents is farming. It is a low rainfall region. Shri Darmaraj Vidyalaya, Yethgaon is the high school present in Yethgaon. It is associated with Rayat Shikshan Sanstha, Satara. One major thing for which Yethgaon is famous that there has been no wine shop is in operation within village for last 32 years. Due to that Yethgaon is known as Ideal Village.
