Overview
Jora Shiva sanctuary - This combination of these little laterite sanctuaries are of a similar sort a firmly furrowed Rekha sanctuary with earthenware exterior and single passageway of the nineteenth century Birbhum-Bardhaman style; built up by the Handa family in 1836. The teracotta work is fairly unrefined, yet broad. Of the identifiable figures, conspicuous ones are of Matsyavatar , Kurmavatar, Vamanavatar (of Vishnu), Krisna with His flute, Krishna with Radha, Chaturvuj Narayan, A figure with a plough (Balaram) and some other unidentifiable figures.
