This famous temple is located in Alappuzha district at Pallipuram near Cherthala. This is the only temple in Kerala where Mahalakshmi is worshipped. Pallippuram village is a prosperous and beautiful village on the banks of the wide lake, opposite to Vaikom and south of Poochakkal the presiding deity is Mahalakshmi. Sub deities are Shastha, Siva, Kodumkali and Brahmarakshas.
