The Kapileshvar temple belongs to the Hemadpanti architectural style and it has been preserved very carefully, though there are suspicions that it had been restored at an earlier date. There is a long Sanskrit inscription that is carved on a stone in a shrine in the courtyard. There is a large Hemadpanti step-well, known as Chaubari Vihir (the square well), close to the temple.
