This temple is built by Perumbalam Kizhakiniyakath mana family and the deity here is fondly called as Kodalil Thevar. This temple is one among the three Vamanamoorthi temples in Kerala. The temple is situated near to kuttippuram railway station (6km) , 1km from thrikanapuram ( trichur-kozhikode road). It is an old tradition that people should visit Kodalil Vamanamoorthi, Kumbidi Narasimmhamoorthi and Panniyoor Varahamoorthy on their birthdays. Devotees offer Dravyarpanam for their well being.
