Virbai Manji built this Lakshmana temple in the year 1817. The confluence of the rivers Godavari and Kapila is situated close to the temple and is known as Kapila Sangama Tirtha. Gopal Krishna and Lakshmi Narayana also have shrines dedicated to them.
