In this temple Laxmi Janardhana is the presiding deity. This Matha is said to be over 700 years old. The Daiva, 'Varthe Kalkuda' associated with this deity is very powerful and every year on Akshaya Thrithiya day, whole night Kola Nema to this daiva will be performed after the Ranga Pooja to the presiding deity. People from all over the neighbouring taluks attend this Kola and get remedies for their problems through the Daiva Kalkuda
