Overview
Madhyameshwar Temple is a recently built shrine located at Washim, Maharashtra. The temple which was constructed about 5 to 7 years ago, is devoted to Lord Shiva. On entering the audience hall, there is an inner chamber on which the Shalunka of Lord Shiva is placed. Few images and inscriptions are said to be excavated from the temple site, during its construction. According to astronomers, the temple is said to have been constructed at a place where the equator passes. Hence the temple is called ‘Madhyameshwar’ temple.
