Kailas Maharaj, a saint, constructed this antique Mahadev temple. Signifying the 12 Jyotirlingas of India, the temple has 11 other lingas other than the main linga. Near Panchdhara, a few lingas are seen engraved in rocks near the bed of the river. These lingas are also worshipped with great devotion. There is also a large, antique linga that is present close to the temple.
