Overview
The sanctuary of Mahadeva is a simple structure with the stupa measuring 15' x l5'. The altar contains a linga with nandi in front. The temple is well known for the three reservoirs arranged here. It is viewed as that these reservoirs have been made by the bolts hit by Shri Rama and Sita showered in these storages. A genuinely huge fair is held at Dongargan to pay tribute to Rameshwar on the third Monday of the month of Shravan (July-August). Around 8,000 individuals gather at the time of the fair.
