Mausi Maa also known as Rameshwar is a very old temple in Bhubaneswar. The deity in this temple is considered to the be the aunt and known as the Mausi Maa temple of Lingaraj Temple. It is located 2km from the Lingaraj shrine. Architectural features: The temple is decorated with architectural motifs like pidhamundi, khakharamundis and angasikharas and vajramundis. Sculptures like udyotasimha, gajakranta, beki-bhairava are found on the gandi. Plan of the temple: The vimana is pancharatha on plan and Panchanga bada in elevation. Rekha vimana of mature phase of temple architecture can be found with the addition of jagamohana in the latter period. Ashlar dry masonry and Sand stone has been used for building the temple.
