Overview


Meenakshi Sundareswarar Temple is a Hindu temple devoted to Lord Shiva situated at Kanadukathan in Sivaganga District of Tamilnadu. Managing god is called as Sundareswarar and Mother is called as Meenakshi.


About The Temple


Meenakshi Sundareswarar Temple, The sanctuary is confronting east with a 3 level Rajagopuram and there is Rajagopuram on the south side as well. Moolavar is taller. Ambal is in a different Sannadhi confronting south. There is a different sanctuary for Sri Muthu Ganapathy on the left half of main sanctuary confronting east. Inside mandapam roof the piantings are all mad from herbs. On the south side Ambal's nine symbols (Navarathri Festival). In koshtam, Vinayagar, Dhakshinamoorthy, Lingothbhavar, Brahma and Durgai are found. In prakaram, Sannadhi for Sandikeswarar, Vinayagar, Sri Valli Devasena Subramaniyar, Gajalakshmi, Saba mandapam, Bairavar, Navagrahas, Chandran and Suryan are found. Sanctuary lake is on the east side one of a kind development.
