Built by Kanhu Rajapatak in the 14th century, the temple of Nagesvara Mahadeva lies to the West of the town of Pabal. According to tradition, Kahnhu's favourite dancing girl constructed a small tank in front of the temple. Supporting a huge capital, a monolithic pillar stands on a lofty pedestal to the North East of the temple.
