When Aarati is given in the main sanctum, we see the jyothy in Siva Lingam and it is like a jyothy swaroopam. Siva lingam is Jyothy swarupam vital component of this temple is Idadhu paada darshanam, which is seeing the left foot of master Shiva. At the point when in Ardhanarishwara structure (half Shiva and staying half Devi), the left 50% of ruler is Devi and thus the survey of left foot is basically the foot of Devi herself. This unique review of the foot is on Thiruvadirai, which is the Nakshatra or the Star on which day Lord Shiva and Devi converged to end up Ardhanarishwara.
