The Ponnazhagiamman Siruvayal Temple is located in Siruvaya and is dedicated to Ponnazhagiamman. This region was a jungle at one time. Once people began to dig the earth to pick up Kavalai Kizhangu or the roots. During this, the crow bar fell on a root and the root began to bleed at once. The workers informed the villagers of the happening. On examining further, the villagers found a Swayambu idol of Amman and built the temple. Kamatchiamman is the guardian deity of this temple and appears as a small stone in front of the temple. It is considered very essential to perform archana with kumkum to the deity. In this temple, Anjaneya is seen as surrendering to God Rama, holding his feet. Goddess Sita is seen standing on her left leg with her right leg up, as if to avoid Anjaneya from holding her legs too.
