Overview
Radha Ballabh temple is a temple devoted to Lord Krishna and Radha. The temple is constructed in a place called Chutia which has some historical significance attached to it. The ruins of many ancient buildings dating back to the 2nd century AD found in Chutia, corroborates the fact that the town had in fact served as an important centre in the region.
About The Temple
The Radha Ballabh temple caters to the religious and spiritual needs of the devotees of Lord Krishna in and around Ranchi. Devotees from all around the world throng the temple to celebrate festivals such as Holi and Janmasthami with great enthusiasm and utmost belief on the paramathma (the almighty).
The temple was constructed during the period 1665-1682 by Hari Brahmachari who was the spiritual advisor to the then king of Chotanagpur, Raja Raghu Nath. According to many ancient inscriptions that were found, historians have concluded that Chutia had been the capital of the Nagbanshi rulers for a very long time.
