The Sambath Gowri Amman Nandhikeshwarar Shiva Temple is located in Thuriyur and is dedicated in Sambath Gowri Amman. The temple contains many life size beautifully carved stone structures. A Nagakanni Amman statue is enshrined within the temple. Near the temple there is a big irrigation tank with a dilapidated yet beautiful mandapam in the centre called the Maiya mandapam. The Sri Vedantha Mahadesigar temple is also situated here. The temple is abuzz with devotees during all festive days connected to God Shiva.
