Overview
Khochi, a town in the Alta sub-division, lies on the Warana waterway, thirteen miles north-east of Kolhapur. The town is known for the sanctuary of Bhairavnath an incarnation of Shiva, with his better half Jogeshvari close by. The body of the building is a square of fifteen feet, worked of stone, with a porch seventy-five feet long and fifteen feet expansive in front.
